LOCATION:
112 Aisquith Street is located in the Pleasant View Gardens neighborhood in east Baltimore. Pleasant View Gardens comprises a collection of rental and owner-occupied townhomes largely designed and developed in the mid to late 1990s with the goal of additional affordable housing in the heart of Baltimore. Also within the community are a senior living facility, Baltimore City government offices and part of the former Sojourner Douglass College complex. The latter campus has been discussed as a potential redevelopment site over the last couple of years. Additional significant development projects are planned, under construction or have already been completed throughout the nearby Jonestown, Oldtown Mall, Washington Hill and Dunbar-Broadway Neighborhoods. The well-known Dunbar High School is approximately two blocks northeast, and the expansive Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore campus is centered approximately one-half mile east. A playground is located immediately behind the property.
