Surrounding neighborhoods include Ridgely’s Delight, Hollins Market and Washington Village/Pigtown. The urban district comprises roughly 200 structures, some dating back to the 1850’s. According to the Baltimore CHAP website, “The Barre Circle Historic District is significant for its architecture and for its association with the industrial development of Baltimore City. Its cohesive streetscapes of modest, unadorned brick rowhouses reflect the architectural response to Baltimore’s rapid industrial expansion in the mid-19th century.”

The surrounding area is home to University of Maryland Baltimore Campus, Oriole Park at Camden Yards, and is within close proximity to a number of other significant historical and contemporary buildings, including M&T Bank Stadium, the Warner Street Entertainment District and B & O Railroad Museum. The Baltimore Convention Center and Inner Harbor are within walking distance as well.

Having immediate access to Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Baltimore Washington Parkway (MD-295) and I-95, the building is convenient for any commuter. Busses, light rail and metro lines are close by on MLK Blvd. and the surrounding streets.
