LOCATION:
The property is located in the scenic Jacksonville area of northern Baltimore County. Situated a short distance north of the Loch Raven Reservoir, Jacksonville is a quaint village surrounded by rolling farms, farmettes and tidy subdivisions. The village center features two grocery stores, restaurants and retail shopping. Recreational opportunities in the area abound, with hiking and biking trails along the NCR and Gunpowder, and a number of both public and private golf courses nearby. Hunt Valley is approximately 7 miles west, providing a significant employment center, expansive shopping options and access to public transportation. I-83 is also approximately 7 miles west. According to the Baltimore County Public Schools website, nearby schools are Jacksonville Elementary, Cockeysville Middle and Dulaney High.
The property has been owned and loved by the same family since 1951. Operated in various residential and farming capacities, the property is perhaps best known to those who grew up in the surrounding area as a Christmas tree farm. Pieces of the property have since been subdivided for continued family occupancy, but the main part of the property remains as an excellent home site with ample charm. Positioned just one-half mile from the village center, the property fosters an excellent combination of rural seclusion and practical convenience.
