LOCATION:
Bowleys Quarters is a peninsula located in southeastern Baltimore County, surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay, Seneca Creek, Galloway Creek and Frog Mortar Creek. According to Wikipedia, “Bowleys Quarters was named for Daniel Bowley, a merchant and sea captain who owned some 2,000 acres around Baltimore in the mid-18th century. The area later became a game preserve for waterfowl and a place where presidents and others, including Babe Ruth, came to hunt ducks. The area eventually became known as a vacation spot, and many summer homes were built along the water.”

Housing in the community is a mixture of modest bungalows and larger custom waterfront homes. Bowleys Quarters is only ten minutes from the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), yet is vastly removed from the hustle and bustle of suburban sprawl. The community has nearby restaurants and marinas. Shopping and public services are a short drive away.

Nearby public schools are Seneca Elementary, Middle River Middle and Kenwood High, according to the Baltimore County government web site.

The auction presents an opportunity to purchase a substantially completed new waterfront home, in “the Land of Pleasant Living.” Catch crabs and fish from your pier, host a party for dozens of guests, or just lay back and enjoy the peaceful setting and waterfront vistas.
